Refunds and cancellations
Version draft-1
Draft for review. This policy has not been approved for release.
For a reader membership, use the publication’s billing settings to cancel renewal or update your payment method. Access normally continues through the recorded paid-through date. A failed payment notice explains the grace period and the next step. Email unsubscribe choices are separate from membership billing.
Digital guides show the writer’s refund policy before checkout. The default policy invites a refund request within 14 days of purchase. Your receipt preserves the policy and guide version offered at checkout. A completed refund revokes private guide downloads and reading access. Contact the publication about a guide purchase using its listed contact or the service support workflow.
A gift membership is a one-time payment for 12 months of access after redemption. It does not create an automatically renewing subscription for the recipient. A refunded or disputed gift payment revokes the gift’s access. The recipient can choose a separate membership at their own cost when the gift expires.
Workspace billing is separate from reader purchases. Included AI credits reset with a verified billing renewal. Purchased credits carry forward while the paid workspace plan is active. A provider failure that qualifies for a job refund restores reserved credits once; this is a credit adjustment, not proof of a card refund.
The operator’s workspace refund terms, support contact, consumer rights and any local exceptions must be reviewed and added before this draft is approved. Nothing in this draft establishes that a legal review is complete.
