Writers: open your newsletter, choose Earnings, then “Tips from readers”. Connect Stripe if you have not already, tick “Show the tip box to readers” and save. A tip box then appears at the end of every issue and on your newsletter page. Readers choose $3, $5, $10 or their own amount and pay once by card. They do not need a membership or an account.
Check before you continue
Tips are paid to your own Stripe account. Publish Haven keeps its platform fee and Stripe charges its processing fee; the rest is paid out to you. Each confirmed tip is listed on the Tips page with the reader’s name and note if they left one, and you get an email. A refunded or disputed tip stays on the list but is not counted in your total. Tips are free to turn on, on every plan.
