State the normal result
Write one request that proves a practice application works. Record the expected response before making changes.
Choose a reversible change
Use an isolated lab with no customer data. Change one configuration value that you can restore. Keep the previous value in your notes, never a password or secret.
Compare evidence
Run the same request before and after the change. Record the actual response and timestamp. Separate observations from your hypothesis about the cause.
Restore and document
Restore the prior value, repeat the check, and document the result. A successful rehearsal is a bounded result, not proof of every future recovery.
